California Pizza Kitchen

I ordered takeout, and it exceeded my expectations. We got lettuce wraps with the sauce on the side, along with a roasted turkey and Brie sandwich that came with a generous salad. I'm very pleased with our order!

I don't usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to address the situation at the Thousand Oaks location. During my recent visits, I've noticed that the restaurant is severely understaffed. Tonight was particularly disappointing! It's frustrating to wait such a long time for our drinks and food. To make matters worse, my order was incorrect, which only added to my frustration. Fortunately, the manager, Gerald, came over to our table on his own initiative. He listened to our concerns and seemed genuinely concerned about our experience. He even invited us to return as his guests and gave me his business card. That was the only positive aspect of my evening! Thank you, Gerald!

The experience really depends on the level of coverage, especially on weekdays and weekends during lunch, due to COVID-19. I understand the situation, but it’s still disappointing because their soup and salad combo is unbeatable in price. I'm not sure if this is unique to this location or if other locations are affected too. Perhaps there are also food shortages to consider.

This review is solely based on online order pick up. Website was very easy to use and place an order. Called the number for curbside pickup and the staff brought out my order in less than 5 minutes. Food: The Works: flavor is there but the crust is very chewy and dry. Good amount of toppings. Kung Pao Spaghetti: similarly, flavor is good, but it's overall dry, no sauce. I like the spicy kick it has.

Have loved coming to this location since I was a kid. Great food, great service, and the ambiance of the place is always heartwarming. The pizza and the street corn were both so yummy!! This is a regular spot for me and my family so consider visiting!!
