Cho Cho San - Thousand Oaks

We went yesterday for a celebration. We ordered the Ahi tuna and Salmon at the tepan table. They overcooked the fish (Asked the Ahi to be rare/ seared). Fish was tasteless and poor quality. Veggies were skimpy undercooked, fried rice bland with no veggies. The chef was fun but tired. Restrooms were dirty. When I called today to share our poor experience with the manager he was very blaise and offered no apology, nor did he ask if we would like to come back and let them make it up to us. The standard of excellence is clearly missing at the restaurant now.

Out of beer but tried to charge it anyway Loud moving tables around constantly Brough 1 main course before appetizer Brought my husband a rice bowl that was questionable, not fresh nor good … I’m not sure my cat would have eaten that mess, my husband had a few bites and pushed it aside My sushi roll was a small roll but not cheap and not very good It’s obvious the food is poor quality and not fresh Small beers, when they have some, are expensive Get some better menus Clean your soy sauce bottles, gross! Will not return ever

We had a wonderful teppan meal to celebrate a 10-year old birthday. The staff are attentive and enthusiastic. Such a fun experience!

Super fresh sushi. Also loved the garlic fried rice. Waitstaff was very kind and helpful.

Their lunch specials were amazing. The food was delicious. Healthy servings. Reasonable pricing and all of this along with great service. They were six of us in our party and everyone loved what they picked out and ate. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.
