I had the £10 for courses option and I couldn’t believe the amount of food that was in front of me. The chef is Swedish and there are dishes from her country as well as traditional pub grub. My two courses consisted of a traditional Swedish dish followed by chocolate brownie which was just wonderful. If you want to experience some really good home cooking then go and sample this little gem. Can’t wait to go back.
What has happened to this once wonderful pub? The food took forever to come when it did it was so salty, the plates were cold the chips were dripping oil. The sausages were very poor quality. The portion sizes were much smaller than they used to be but were much more expensive. I think they are trying to be more fancy but it’s not working
Great place for a lovely country lunch. Food was really good quality both meat and my daughter’s veg/vegan halloumi wrap. Great selection of traditional ales kept really well.
I went there for a roast meal on Sunday as we had been before but found the veg very hard and the beef was a bit tough. It used to be alright but might have been a one off.
We popped into The Plough when passing what a wonderful surprise we got! The place was packed but we were greeted with a warm welcome. The food was superb, the beer well kept both very reasonably priced. The supersonic bar lady/ waitress managed to make everyone feel special despite being run off her feet. We will definitely be back
