Kaffeebar Muhleplatz - Thun

We stopped here for lunch, nice place next to the river, service was good. Really enjoyed our salad, it was one of the best and the coffee was good. Appropriately expensive but they only accept cash that is not always comfortable this day at age.

Beer was good, but much too expensive. Only when we pay, we found out we couldn't pay with the card. Please try another bar.

This evening came as part of a stopover night on a Banger rally when the organizers had made it THEIR meeting place of the night. Ordered a fairly substantial beer order and when the miserable bartender brought her then he revealed that they did not take cards from a NY label and it was only cash... Oh, right... This is where I go after work to have some beers. Staff is great and international, the beer is very good with a nice selection of german ones and you can have delicious fruit juices.

Stopped here on a raining day for a quick lunch and was impressed. Our hostess was very helpful in translating and helping us decide to order and even recommended a nice beer from their large selection. I had the traditional Swiss Raclette. It was a small to medium sized portion of Raclette cheese, melted on a plate along with some jacketed potatoes and it was delicious. (Note: you can ask for a few more potatoes if you have extra cheese left over. What really strikes me about this place is that it's right next to the river and has a nice covered outdoor seating area. In warm, dry weather, this would be THE place to hang out and enjoy the feeling of this great little Swiss town.
