Prospector Steak House - Thunder Bay

I always consider going to the Prospector a treat. This time around, looking at the menu prices made me really ponder whether the treat was worth it. We had reservations for a party of six and they were easily able to accommodate and the table was even ready early! Which was nice. However, the tables were a little bit close together. I definitely had to watch my back if I needed to leave my seat. The service was absolutely outstanding. Not only our waiter, but all of the service staff were interacting with us and our two children. It was very humbling. Cons: High menu prices, tables are a little close together (which makes it a louder atmosphere by default) Pros: Everything else service, food quality, filling our drinks (which is important), selection, etc

I have never had a bad meal here. Always great service. The menu has lots of great choices to choose from, for everyone. The prime rib served here is literally to die for..it will keep you coming back over and over again. Juicy, tender and cooked to perfection. The aroma of fresh baked hot buns served with fluffy whipped garlic butter...you won't just eat one..yes again that good. Truly a wonderful place and great all around atmosphere! I highly recommend to try this place out.

I went there for the customer appreciation night .I was expecting great prime rib and that's exactly what I got .perfect as always .. I was expecting some delay with the rush the staff was put under , but was pleasantly surprised at how well organized the staff was organized .. Our drinks were at the table within minutes of ordering , our food was perfectly timed giving us a chance to get settled in , and start enjoying them . Managers or owners not sure of who they were , stopped by the table for some quick conversation about our night and the meal to come which was very pleasant. All in all it was a very enjoyable meal and evening . Hats of to you Prospector Resturant and staff keep up the great work , and I will be certainly seeing you all again .... 10 out of 10
