We ordered lotus root balls with root veggies and bamboo shoots, sauteed konjac, lentil pods, sea velvet (which I later found out was a type of sea vegetable), and noodles. Although some dishes were a bit salty, the overall flavors and textures were excellent. The staff at this restaurant stood out to me as they were all incredibly friendly compared to other places I've been to. They made an effort to make eye contact, smile, and engage in conversation with us. While the prices may be considered high for locals, I found them to be quite reasonable when converted to USD. Overall, I had a lovely dining experience at this establishment.
This restaurant had limited information on Baidu Maps, with only a photo of the exterior. Despite this, we decided to give it a try due to its close proximity. The entrance was down a somewhat dirty corridor, but inside the restaurant was very elegant. The decor was delicate and beautiful, and there was even someone playing Pusheng or the Chinese zither. I came across this restaurant on Baidu Maps and decided to give it a try despite the lack of information. The entrance was hidden in a somewhat dirty corridor, but once inside, the decor was elegant and beautiful. There was even someone playing the Chinese zither. The menu had English translations and marked dishes that contained ice cream and milk products. We tried lotus root balls, sautéed konjac, lens capsules, and seevelvet (a colorful vegetable dish). Some dishes were a bit too salty, but overall the flavors and textures were excellent. The staff was very friendly and took the time to engage with us. While the prices may be high for locals, they were reasonable for us when converted to USD.
