I was there twice, and both times, the food was just excellent. The first time I got the catch of the day, they call it school fish, I'm not quite sure what kind is, but the preparation was great. The second time... I have octopus salad and salmon, Oh boy! just excellent, the right touch of taste, perfectly balanced. I felt really happy with the quality of food and service I got.
In my opinion, Casta is the best wine producer in el Valle de Guadalupe. And they are the owners of this small wine bar, which also offers flatbread pizzas, salads and empanadas. The wine list is extensive. This is a great place to try Baja. But if you have not tried the robust and earthy Casta line, you need to try it. For me, her Casta Negra is one of the best wines in the world. I'm not exaggerating. Of course this is one thing of taste, but try it! Or Casta Cardón or one of the Casta Tinta line, including Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and an amazing Petit Verdot. Empanadas and pizzas are not difficult, very much in the “Baja Med” vein. Really a pleasant atmosphere. Good food, great wine, low key, reasonable prices. Just a short drive from most hotels (a simple walk from Marriott). Enthusiast recommended (from a large Casta fan)!
Have been twice during a business trip, and plan to go again. Pizzas are wonderful, and so is the local red wine. Great to sit outside and watch all the activity in the mall below. Highly recommend!
A really great experience! A couple owns this restaurant, he makes wine and she's a sommelier, so the menu is gueared towards a great experience with great award winning wines. They have a pizza oven where you can order a steak pizza which I love,...many pasta dishes, their octopuss is divine... In all, a great dinning experience, I highly recommend this place
