Winnisquam Country Store Deli - Tilton

While out on the lake whooping it up there comes a time when you have to put some solid food in yer belly or you may end up overboard. This country store has a dock that we pulled right up to which is very convenient. They have an awesome grill with a large variety of sandwiches and pizza. We ordered tuna on rye, roast beef subs and steak n cheeses. My steak was the bomb and had pepperoni mixed in! Also saw a good variety of beers and wine. Nicely laid out store. Lots of NH themed gifts and cards etc. This is a quintessential little town market and deli where locals can run for a quart of milk or whatever. It was not overly busy even on a Sunday in the summer. If your on the lake and your stomach is grumbling get a steak n cheese and your good to go.

I won't say that they are spectacular but they do make what is probably the BEST Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza of anywhere in the area. Seriously, it is the very best. Now, everything else they make is pretty good, never had anything there that I thought was bad. It can be a little pricier than I think it is worth, but it's tasty and satisfying.

This is one of the few places with a dock on the lake. They serve excellent pizza and sandwiches, and their gift shop offers sweatshirts and shirts. Live bait is also available, and the service is outstanding. It tends to get crowded on weekends during the summer, especially when the sand bar is bustling.

I have been a loyal customer for many years. Never again! I realize it 's difficult to find good help, and turnover is ongoing, I have tolerated the choice of employee over the last couple of years. However, the latest crew , especially the younger women with dark hair, cannot be tolerated. Three times I 've watched her mock or gossip about customers in front of customers, make people wait to pay purposely, and treat customers, including me, like 2nd class citizens. I 'm done. I 'll drive a little further, thank you!

The staff is friendly, and the pizza is fantastic. They use Boar's Head meats and cheeses for their subs, which are delicious. The store also offers a variety of products.
