Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Tinley Park

I visited my daughter for the first time today. She wanted to go so bad because the only place she knew was in Indianapolis. We traveled 40 minutes to this place because it was the next thing we found. I ordered a Bahama Mama with the Sante Fe Chicken Queensadilla, and she ordered the Detox Island with the Avocado Grilled Cheese. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a sidepiece. The smoothies were delicious and the staff was nice. It wasn't busy when we arrived. I waited until I came home to eat my queen and was very disappointed. When I looked at it, it looked full, but as soon as I touched it, it was flat. I wanted to open it and there was hardly any chicken or toppings. I really paid for a roasted tortilla with cheese. My daughter was very sad to see because that's not what she was in other places where she was. I wish they were more proud of their other menu items. If I've ever decided to return, I'll just order smoothes.

Not my first time to a Tropical smoothie, so I'm not sure why this experience was different. I had a Bahama mama with an energizer when I first tasted it, it was irrigated. I told one of the workers and watched him make it. The recipe says to put 2 pots of white chocolate, and I observed that he put a bowl and it was still watered. I'm not sure what else he's adapted to the recipe, but it just tasted like pineapples and strawberries. It tastes like there's no coconut. My super Cesaer wrap was not cut into half, and there was hardly a salad and spinach in it. I feel like being robbed for the price I pay.

Love this place.... We are OTR transporters from Arizona doing a 34 hour reset, SO we went Over to L.A fitness and were kinda hungry after so we decided to take a walk and see what's around...BAM Tropical Smoothie Cafe was it!!!!! Thinking we would just get a healthy smoothie, I was pleasantly surprised to see the amazing low cal low carb food menu.... Ordered The Chili Verde chicken Melt and 2 smoothies the kiwi and Strawberry was awesome the food was amazing filling good priced and worth it for a healthy meal...I will be coming back IT is a must try.. Service is great, atmosphere relaxed, very clean and very timely... Every around the area especially truckers looking for a great meal that will be good for you, You gotta try it.... Az needs one of these....

Was our first time there. We got the Sante Fe dilla and it was splendid!! As for our smoothie, we shared a Sunrise Sunset. It was very tropical and fruity!!

I've always loved traveling smoothly to have great drinks food etc etc. The only problem I have with the place is the service and I do not blame the employees because most of them are first time workers that are in high school and I believe that the training is just not up to par. But their food is good and they're going to make sure that and the prices are affordable and for the most part it's healthier than other places. Definitely check them out cuz they do have good menu items I just really believe the management needs to do a better job of training younger employees.
