Our best meal during the trip through france. absolutely super and the owner and the chef were also beautiful. can not praise enough. maybe some plants to hide the road, but otherwise a wonderful foundation!
Staying at the nearby Novotel, we popped down for dinner. Sadly they were full that night but as we were returning at the end of our trip we booked for 2 weeks time. The man who was front of house recognised us as we arrived...and apologised for not being able to accommodate us previously. We had the set menu of the day and it was fantastic. Lovely local beers and fab bottle of red. Very natural and friendly service. The 2 chaps who run it don’t speak English so brush up on your French! Restaurant was full of locals having a great time very good atmosphere! Highly recommend.
Due to other reviews tried to book this both ways on a trip back to blighty, due to holidays was only able to get in on the return. It was well worth the wait. No English spoken but my schoolboy French and the excellent attitude...of both members of staff (owners? left us problem free. We went for the fixed menu which was extremely good value for money and the wine list was not bad either. A decent Chablis, 2 hours of excellent food and very attentive staff made this a dining experience we will not forget. Reims will be a stopover for our next visit as well. I had a tuna salad, fish of the day, some blue cheese and then paid the extra for the taster dish for pudding. I highly recommend this option but only if you have belt room to spare! Loved the place, loved the staff and we will definately return.
Small jewel in an otherwise unattractive part of reims. super friendly little restaurant that is guided by a keerl that eat for the main dish and one responsible for the desserts, both delicious. not cheap at €27 for a set menu, but not exorbitant either...and great value for the quality they receive. the only decent address in walking distance from the nearby ibis and novotel tinqueux.
