Anyway, eating is honest, but that's all
This is a great place to try the real comida mineira and you will have a lot to eat. the place is a minute drive from tiradentes in a farm with the most spectacular view of the mountains and the grazing. the service is...not great, but they get their food sometime. we are Rothals chickens (galinha caipira) with okra and the young had the Mineirinho menu with all fledermaus pork. all orders come with couve, abobrinha, arroz, feijão e giló made as oma would cook it! the prices are very affordable and eat is much for three adult.
It is a typical rural location, serving local Mineira food. mostly large tables to share with other people; eating is okay, but not even close to one of the best mineira I ever had. the service is really chaotic, and take money, they. do not accept any cards, which makes the service even bad, because there is only a small warning on the website and many people will know that after lunch.
In a small farm, with a beautiful environment, surrounded by birds, horses and cows. eating is the typical regional cuisine, traditional recipes with perfect design. good service at average prices.
The restaurant has a good recommendation in Quatro Rodas travel guide (an important publication in Brazil) but my experience was terrible. It’s acceptable that during holidays we need to wait for a table but it should, at least, have some specific place for that, not...in the sun… After more than hour waiting, we seat and simply couldn’t find a waiter to bring us the menu. When we finally asked for the food, it took another hour to be served. And it was just ok. In summary, I think that there are many other good restaurants in Tiradentes.
