Il Siciliano - TIRANO

We had lunch here today and found the staff to be horrible snobbish, unprofessional, poorly trained and totally incapable. All of this is too bad because the location is great, wonderful outside dining and the food was good. When we sat down it took around 8-10 minutes before anyone would acknowledge us. At least employees looked at us but no one wanted to make eye contact or stop chatting and smoking to wait on us. Finally someone came over and took our drink order. After our drinks sat on the bar for more than 5 minutes my husband went and got them and brought them to our table. The female bartender looked at him and just shrugged her shoulders. Finally someone came and took our food order and the food was served quickly. My husband had a salad which didnot have any dressing so he had to hunt someone down. Finally some v&o was brought to the table. As I said the food was good but the service was inexcusable. They were not busy at all ... in fact plenty of time for all of them to hang at a table inside. Too many excellent places to eat in Tirano so I would skip this one for sure.

Nice to sit out on the pavement in the main square for cappuccino (which was average but only 2.60 euro for two, March 2018)

A bar mainly, but I strolled in asking if they also served food and (from a short chalkboard menu) had a wonderful pasta con vongole. Cooked perfectly. Because the food took a little longer (30min which I don't consider long) I got an appetizer plate on the house, which included among other things a great mini pizza and an excellent chicken wing. The staff is all smiles, their English is so-so but they were very patient and friendly. Well worth a visit. If you only go for drinks, order an antipasti plate, you won't be disappointed!
