All the dishes served were well presented and tasted as hoped /expected, delicious! The Pecorino wine tasted well together with the Ravioli and other dishes. A place to put on your list and visit when you are in the area. The price was extremely acceptable for the quality of the food served.
My husband and I arrived at this tranquil agriturismo early afternoon on a sunny January day. I had read the reviews and saw the photos and I decided this would be a great place to try for our day trip outside of Rome. It did not disappoint!!! In fact, BelPoggio exceeded our expectations. Since we arrived before the kitchen was open, we took an aperitivo on the terrace where we were warmed by the sun and had a chance to take in the breathtaking views. The cheese and salame were perfectly balanced and the bruschetta topped with a kind of cauliflower tapenade was amazing. Once our table was ready we couldn’t resist indulging some more. Primi: cacio pepe and bianco ragù which were both mouthwatering and made with homemade pasta. Secondo: The mixed grilled meats and maiale. Seriously. So. Dang. Good! The owner was so friendly and warm and we talked for quite some time about a variety of things. You can tell he truly has a passion for what he does. This is a must do if you’re thinking of taking a day trip to Tivoli or if you just want to take the trip to BelPoggio for the food and skip anything else! We will most definitely return!
After a fabulous and focused half-day at Villa Adriana my friends and I were looking for a place with a view and food to-die-for. We found it about 15 minutes away at Agriturismo BelPoggio. Our Vatican guide from a few days earlier told us that if we went to Villa Adriana, do NOT miss this spot to eat, drink, and soak up the spectacular views. Honestly, knowing what I know now--if I could only chose one stop I 'd take this over VA. But thankfully, I did NOT have to choose and got to fully enjoy both. My enjoyment of Italy and Italians is boundless: my facility with the language limited to my iPhone. BUT--though their English was limited it mattered not. We have hands. And we have mouths to smile and eat and drink with. And it was the best mid-day meal we had in our three weeks in Italy. And that--oh dearly beloved--is high praise indeed.
