I had a really tasty fish filet with a butter/garlic sauce that was excellent. This is a nice little town should you find yourself south of PV. Worth a stop to relax for an hour or two.
We were at this restaurant on a Tuesday. The town was very quiet. We had couple of margaritas. They were not blended but were still very good. They do not run their grill week days only the weekends. There were still other choices but we opted for their guacamole. It was freshly made along with the chips. Everything was very tasty. There is very little English spoken here. We will return
We have returned to this place many times over the last dozen years. This time I delighted in the chicken mole - very high quality, like one would get in the Mexican countryside in pueblos that specialize in their own recipe. The margarita was one of the best I have ever had anywhere - quality tequila, limey, and smoothed with egg white. Love the patio and appreciate the kind service from the waitresses and from the cooks and the owner. (I feel the disappointment of one of the readers who objects to the caged wild parrot - I hate being caged birds.)
Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and we were the only ones there. Not usually a good sign but the place looked good. Very nice Mexican decor. We were not disappointed, the food and service was very good. The prices were also quite reasonable. All 6 of us enjoyed our meal. Note that some items on the menu are not always available. Ex: breakfast items and the grill items were not available for lunch on this visit. There is only one menu with everything on it. Also note that staff spoke little to no English.
Our tour guide stopped here for our lunch. The interior garden area and birds are a very nice experience. Some good picture taking opportunities here. They food was plentiful and tasted great. We had the birria and chili rellanos for our lunch. Everything was freshly made in the kitchen onsite by Mario himself. The freshly made corn tortillas and salsa was for real. If you are on a tour and it takes you to El tuito, this is a must for lunch. It was also very inexpensive compared to PV.
