Feedback gevenI’m writing this from the boat. There was a misunderstanding regarding the need for a reservation on my trip today. Fortunately for the help of Jude, Jeremy and Rob and the team at South Bay Mouth and on the deck of the ship, we were able to park my ATV sideways at the back of the boat. The sign of a good organization is how they’re able to resolve problems. These employees were exceptional. Thank you thank you thank you. I have three pieces of advice. Take the ferry, It’s a beautiful trip. Make a reservation and arrive an hour before your departure.
Spectacular and smooth ferry ride. Breath taking views. Worth doing if visiting the area. Well organized, clean, spacious. Glitch with their software program when reserving our spot but they reimbursed the difference without even being asked to.
From Tobermory to Manitoulin Island, this Ferry is a wonderful experience. Can’t forget the sight of so many headlights flashing and all those motorcycles all geared up to come out when the ferry opened its doors for outgoing vehicles. You definitely get a break from driving and get some peaceful time with family without the stress of being on busy roads over the weekends. Lovely views, scenery, torquise coloured water, light houses on the way which look even more beautiful during the sunset. The cafe has amazing food and service. Washrooms were super clean. Altogether, amazing ride. Add to your to-do list for next summer.
Perfect transport to Manitoulin Island ! All went very smooth getting on and off the ferry. Be sure to book in advance.
I highly recommend the ferry service between South Baymouth and Tobermory. It is important to make a reservation well in advance, especially during busy times, whether you plan to board on foot, by bicycle, or with a car. The trip lasts about two hours and offers great sightseeing opportunities. It is a fantastic experience, especially if you have never been on a larger ferry for vehicles and passengers before. You will enjoy stunning views of the islands in Georgian Bay. The ferry operates on time and the ship is well-maintained and clean. The floors and bathrooms are tidy and hygienic. Onboard, there is a cafeteria and a bar that mainly serves local Canadian beers priced at $6 each. Payment can be made in cash or by card. While the beverage options are limited, the service is quick and reliable. The ferry can accommodate vehicles of all sizes, including RVs and tractor trailers. There is an upper deck with plenty of benches and chairs where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful views as you pass by numerous small islands. The cruise is known for its punctuality, so it is recommended to arrive at least half an hour before your scheduled boarding time to ensure a smooth experience.
