The 2nd most disorganized restaurant in Mt Pocono next to irie reggae grill in swiftwatwer. Food is never ever ever on time, for whatever reason I don't know, they just make up reasons on the spot. They are never open on the time they have online , basically open when they feel like they should open. The food is a constant hit and missed. If you are hungry and want to be angry on top of being hungry , take the trip. Tried 3 times and will not be a fourth.
The Jerk Chicken Entree is delicious along with the side dish of rice and beans! This is like a hidden gem in the Poconos, the ladies there are very nice. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Jerk Chicken
My recent visit to this Jamaican restaurant was a complete disaster. Waited 3 whole hours for poor quality food. After placing an order at 4:22pm and being told it would be ready by 5pm, I arrived at 5:30pm to find my order nowhere near ready. The constant delays, first 15 minutes, then another 15, and then blaming rain for slow-cooking chicken, were infuriating. Calling at 6:30pm only to be told the food was ready, I rushed there at 6:45pm to find my order still not prepared. It wasn't until 7:30pm that I finally got my hands on the food, and the compensation attempt with a burnt beef patty or a $2 soda on a $105 order was insulting. My order should have been comped at this point. This place utterly failed in communication and customer service. Keeping customers waiting for three hours is beyond any reasonable expectation. To add insult to injury, the food was tasteless and uninspiring—I wouldn't recommend anything from this place, especially not the jerk chicken or oxtail. The overall experience was a train wreck, and I can't emphasize enough how disappointed I am. This restaurant should seriously reconsider its business practices, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Absolutely abysmal experience at this Jamaican restaurant. After a draining journey from Toronto to Pennsylvania due to a funeral, my family was hoping for some comfort food to lift our spirits. We ordered our meals at 4 pm, being told it would be ready by 5 pm. We generously arrived half an hour late at 5:30 pm, but to our astonishment, our order was nowhere in sight. Each time we inquired, we were dismissively told, just 15 more minutes. After hours of empty promises, we left it to them to call us to come back but I had to take the initiative to call them at 6:30 pm. The audacity of them to claim they were just about to call is laughable. Yet the farce didn 't end there. We arrived 15 minutes later and STILL, our food wasn 't ready. When we finally got our food at 7:30 pm, it was bland, uninspired, and not worth the wait. Their pitiful offer of a $2 coke for a 3-hour delay on a $105 order is a slap in the face. Avoid this place at all costs unless you 're in the mood for mediocre food and horrendous service.
