Amazing Food, Great Owner! Fresh roasted coffee, I lived near here last winter, and ate the food everyday, I honestly crave it all the time, Felix the owner is a great guy, The taco place next door is also his and again equally as delicious!
So grateful I stopped here. Rented a great bike to cruise around town. Half price from other places and saved me from renting a car. Super nice young couple gave great service and let me know some local places to go. Soul America ebikes. Ask...for Sofia or Santiago. They and their Bike was the highlight of my 10 days in Mexico.
My partner, who does not speak Espanol, ordered two Margaritas and gave the owner $400MX Pesos, the equivalent of $24. The problem is he should have given him only $200MX- he looked stupid/naive giving him two $200 peso bills. What did the owner do? He...said, That 's not enough! My partner said, What, that 's not enough, for two drinks and a tip? and two bartenders gathered around the owner and again the owner said, No. So my partner said he felt he was being ganged up upon and gave him another $100MX, and said, What? So you want $500MX pesos for two Margaritas. Now is that enough? Is everyone agreeing that 's enough? And finally the owner, with two bartenders standing next to him said, Yes. If you want to get ripped off for drinks, come to CafeLix. Maybe the wait staff are cool, but the owner and his goons are not. I know that does 't sound nice, but it isn 't nice to pressure someone into paying $500MX (the equivalent of $30US) for two Margaritas. By the way, I think he put cheap booze in the Dom Julio bottle. They were awful drinks. Just awful.
Cafelix closes at 9 PM, not 9 AM. I ordered 4 shots of expresso and it was the first good coffee I’ve had in Todos Santos. Everywhere else it’s too watery. Good breakfast too. Locals also come here.
