I 'm not sure how this little gem could have possibly received a bad review previously. This family owned hole in the wall was the highlight of our day trip to Todos Santos. We 're vegan and had no trouble explaining no cheese no meat to the cook, Teresa....The food was delicious, full of healthy veggies, hot, made from scratch and obviously made with love. I felt like I was sitting in my grandmother 's kitchen. Our waitress Soledad was wonderful too. We ordered vegan burritos and couldn 't even finish them they were so large. One order would have been enough for two. Home made salsa and nachos were also delicious perfectly spiced the way we like them. The guacamole must have been made 20 seconds before it was served because it was beyond fresh the best I 've tasted. It 's not fancy so don 't expect it to be. The bathroom is the same bathroom the family uses as they live on site. Despite the simplicity, it was spotlessly clean and obviously very well cared for. If you want to experience really good Mexican food like a local don 't hesitate to visit. This family is lovely and most hospitable! We were entertained by Soledad 's little daughter who was happily playing with her toys while we enjoyed our delicious lunch. The bill was extremely reasonable too, much cheaper than many of the fancier restaurants in town. Just go you won 't be disappointed.
My boyfriend and I spent a month in Todos Santos and this was by far our worst experience of the trip. Our server was friendly, but couldn't quite get the order correct. That would not have been a big deal, but when we got the...bill and had quesadillas and two tacos, plus two shots of tequila and received a $78USD bill, we were flabbergasted. We clearly thought they presented us with the wrong bill. They insisted it was our bill. Obviously, we had to pay it so my boyfriend went to get more pesos and they basically guarded me like a prisoner so I wouldn't leave. The waiter then asked me if we had been drinking prior (he said we looked like it, but we were actually sober at the beach prior). Pretty sure us gringos got taken for a ride and didn't appreciate the treatment, food, service or price. Save your pesos and visit one of the other many amazing restaurants in Todos.
What seems to be a friendly family business, turns quickly into a cash pick-up when they get the bill that is 20% higher than what it should be!
The owner/Koch doña tereza was amazing. they prepared delicious mushroom enchiladas and tacos de nopal. the salsas were so good. she also has so many different flavors. she can adjust her order. would recommend it definitiw.
