Vege Herb Saga - Tokyo

I was here countless times and love it. Let's start with the positive ones. eating is authentic, how many Indians eat here. the menu is quite extensive, so it must be something they like when they are in Indian food. it is located in a cellar and is in the regular a relaxing atmosphere. the vegan items are marked in the menu. on the negatiw the service is Indian. you understand what you get. if the waiter is randomly in a grumpy mood, then you get that. even if the restaurant is almost empty, they can still make it to forget a part of their order. the restaurant works with 10% of its potential efficiency. also the inner and the menu are a bit shady. but these problems can be observed in most Indian and Nepalese restaurants in tokio, so if they are a lover of their cuisine, they have probably learned to cope to now. overall I love the concept and what they want to do. it has so much potential and deserves a total makeover. but that will never happen. they do not serve alcohol because they are from the Jain religion. but many places are close when they want a drink after their meal. updated by previous review on 2022-07-26

Chef came with some appetizers in the house while we looked through the menu wow! what a huge menu! so many decisions. I went with the masala dosa, which was actually quite cheap, but more than I could eat! it was the only thing I got and I shared some and I still needed something to go home (and yes, they had to go container). eating was very tasty and was quite spicy, which was a beautiful authentic note, but also a warning to those who did not like spicy food; They may ask for something less spicy. updated by previous review on 2020-01-30

The samosas are the best I ever had! the chana masala and roti are perfection. I don't enjoy the kalbab, because he was very salty, but otherwise I loved this place.

Indian eating is my way to comfort and all the time popular so I can try a point as many restaurants as I can. I must say that was the best curry I ever had, so rich and full of taste! I can't wait to go back!

Tried chole bhature and it was delicious. Many options to choose from but a bit expensive. Staff were good and they even served mangoes upon request. Definitely try it out.
