We came here for something else and special. the food was excellent fresh veg with amazing mushrooms, aubergine and lotus root, well dressed fresh salad, veg boiled teppanyaki, and a really tasty okonomiyaki pfannkuchen from yam in place of egg and flour! Make sure they tell them they are vegan very happy to commit, but check them low to use oil instead of butter.
Had the most delicious vegan pancakes here! we also ordered the vegetarian rice, and the Tepenyaki cook asked me if I had eaten butter before I put it in the rice I said no. will have come back to any
We had a 6-course tasting menu that was delicious. The lunch menu was evenly divided between vegetarian and meat (they are vegan friendly as they checked if we ate butter before we make a dish). The dishes were all cooked in front of us on a Teppanyaki barbecue. It was extremely clean, cooked without transfer of meat. The dishes were delicious and quite adventurous.
They focus on vegetables as they named their restaurant yasaiya, which literally means vegetable area. A little pricy for a volume, but it was delicious. Good place to go with non-vege friends when they want to eat meat. I had the vegan course.
