I was happy to see that the menu marked all vegan options. We decided to try the tomato gazpacho, but it tasted like there was dairy in it. I didn't want to ask since I don't speak Spanish and didn't want to ruin our meal. My vegetarian friend enjoyed it though, describing it as tomatoes with acidic cream. The pasta was too oily and the salad was average. We rushed through our meal and were constantly bothered by mosquitoes, with 10-15 flying around us at all times. I've never been so badly bitten before! Despite the restaurant's upscale appearance, they did not have mosquito spray available. The only highlight of our meal were the coconut balls, which we hope were truly vegan.

We go randomly in taberna 99 while we walk on the beach of popoyo, attracted by the fantastic design of 99 surf lodge. to our surprise the restaurant had some reusable options of vegan and raw vegan foods. we eat the veggy trio entry, a wash-tasteful hummus that comes with carrots and cucomberfingers, followed by a really big and tasty lenses vegan burger. we recommend it to all lovers of vegan and sustainable life.
