Golden Koi - Toledo

This restaurant is takeout only. I visited for the first time because I had a craving for Chinese food, but I hadn’t had much luck finding a place with good options. The woman who answered the phone was friendly and patient as I navigated the menu. I ordered the salt and pepper fried ribs, beef fried rice, and three shrimp spring rolls. The ribs were tender and packed with flavor, although a few pieces had a bit too much fat; they could improve on trimming those. The fried rice was decent and had a nice moisture to it, but I ordered it with extra onion and I wish there had been a bit more meat in it. The spring rolls were enjoyable. I plan to come back and hope the food remains consistently good.

I've lived in Toledo my whole life and have tried all the Chinese restaurants here. This one has consistently impressed me over the years. They offer a great selection of fresh food, and the service is quick and always accurate. It's a family-owned restaurant with generous portion sizes. I've been here more than 50 times, and I've never been disappointed. Everything is fantastic!

Avoid this restaurant at all costs! The food was absolutely dreadful. The chicken was excessively salty and had a slimy texture. We tried three different dishes, and each one was a disappointment. We ordered garlic chicken, shrimp fried rice, and General Tso's chicken. The fried rice was just rice tossed in soy sauce—nothing special. Overall, this is subpar Chinese food, and I definitely do not recommend it.

I ordered online and fed a family of four for around $35. My meal was ready almost instantly right after I placed the order, and it was the best Chinese food I've had in this city.

What a lovely place with friendly staff! The food is excellent and was served incredibly quickly! The prices are very reasonable too! I will definitely be back!
