The Old Mill Tea Room

This restaurant is a fantastic spot to grab lunch or enjoy a cup of tea with a delicious dessert. They offer a variety of fillings for wraps and rolls, as well as a rotating selection of cakes, fruit scones, cheese scones, and teacakes. Sue and Vee go out of their way to make all customers feel welcome.

I had a wonderful experience with afternoon tea at this restaurant! The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and Sue went above and beyond to accommodate my picky grandmother by making her plain sandwiches. Plus, you can bring your own Prosecco to enjoy with your meal. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

I visited this restaurant for the first time to have lunch. The two servers were lovely and very polite. They were very accommodating and we ordered the ploughman's, which had a great selection. The service was perfect, I couldn't fault it.

These tea rooms are under new ownership and now run by two lovely friendly ladies who cook and produce everything to order, so the food is always fresh. Home baked cakes always on offer, fresh rolls and wraps, light lunches, vegetarian and vegan options, hand made chocolates and gifts etc. Ignore previous negative reviews! Well worth a visit and a pleasant change from the well known chain in the High Street. Lovely ambient surroundings above the craft centre in Old Mill Yard by the Post Office. Highly recommended and very reasonable prices. Definite hidden gem.

Have been here a few times and it is great!lovely food, wonderful cakes, pleasant owners and a really friendly atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend it.
