Mcdonald's Family Restaurants - Toolooa

On the huge McDonalds sign out the front it advertises the fact that the restaurant is open 24hours although this is not the case, when we came off the road as per the sign we were told "oh, that is only on the weekends" - Really annoying.

As usual I needed my Sunday fix of pancakes for breakfast, restaurant was quiet up until 11am when kids started to arrive.

Finally a McDonald's that has fast service and can actually get your order correct the first time, and the burgers were fresh.

Had to wait 30 minutes in the drivethrough although it was not particularly busy. Even broke out some biscuits because we were getting hungry. When finally served, there was no explanation until I asked. By the time we got the meal, the capuccino was not frothy. The excuse (when asked) was that the fryer had broken down. Things break down, but when stuck in a line for that long, you do expect an explanation. I wouldn't have bothered with a review, but they have messed up my order twice previously. Suspect they may have management problems.

The restaurant was packed but friendly staff came around and took your order quickly. The food was standard Maccas' fare. The décor although reasonably new is drab and always looks dirty to me, even though it is clean. They were not very a obliging in serving me my complimentary Seniors cup of tea. It took them ages and seemed a huge chore. I have had much more pleasant experiences at Hanson Road and Boyne Island Maccas.ok for a quick bite to eat between scheduled appointments.
