Old Jetty Cafe & Tearooms - TOORADIN

The staff at this restaurant refused to make a cup of coffee in an actual cup because they didn't want to wash it. I only saw two employees working.

We've eaten this afternoon. I feel that we have to visit another caffe to see what was checked below. we sat in a beautiful sunny place and that would be my most positive comment. when asking whether the fish was fresh, the person declared. behind the counter after a dodging the question that it was before shattered / frozen flathead pieces from the supplier. I even had to explain what I meant with fresh fish! my friend had the fish and chips, I chose an omelette. both were served with absolutely no garnel or salate each description. the fish was tasteless and the fish and the chips oily. the omelette tasted okay, but was quite small and, well, just normal. it was on the plate, again with nothing to accompany, not a chip or a piece salat even. as well as the presentation of fish and chips. it may sound picky, but I would expect food to be presented with a bit more carefree and imagination this day and age when customers pay for it. the bill came to over $50 for these two articles plus a cappuccino and a pfefferminztee. decor may be original, but it is very tired. disappointment for our first café experience in three months.

We visited this restaurant and tried the fish and chips. Sadly, we were disappointed. The fish was overcooked, the portions were very small, and the flavor of the flathead fish was too fishy for our liking. Overall, we found the meal to be underwhelming and overpriced. On a positive note, the restaurant had a beautiful ambiance and provided glass bottles of water to help reduce plastic waste. Applauding them for that initiative.

Beautiful place for a meal and eating is fantastic. I recommend calling and relaxing and having a meal or coffee. as we did

I had decided to try out a new cafe in Tooradin since we often travel between Melbourne and Phillip Island. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my experience.
