La Sosta - TORANO NUOVO

This is a superb restaurant in the middle of the wine country of the province of Teramo, in the town of Torano Nuovo.... It is quietly elegant inside and also has a few inviting tables outside. The food is excellent (many of the ingredients are grown and/or made by the chef and family) and the prices are quite reasonable. The owner and his family are charming and very helpful. We will return!!!

We went for Sunday Lunch and had the fixed price menu. Carpaccio of apple and a local cheese, some regional sliced pork, lasagne, pork stew with red peppers, a liter of local red wine all for 25 Euros apiece. This is a very special restaurant. If you are a foodie check it out. Fantastic!!!

We dined here several nights and enjoyed excellent rustic soups and pastas from the region. Great service, friendly staff.

We have not been in la sosta for a while when we went back today we found a renewed restaurant same good quality food of Abruzzo tradition. The price is fair. I think it is worth a visit

Bella cantina e piatti tradizionali. non patatine impeccabili, capra molto buona al neretese.
