Pappas Fish Chips Coffee Shop - Torbay

Went in had the ham &cheese toasties it came with salad and chips was lovely a little bit to much for me it is very clean and friendly staff and is good value for money.

We stopped for lunch at Pappa's, we each had brilliant fish and chips with drinks for less than £15, super service but the boss could smile a bit more.

Went here with my mother last December for lunch whilst Christmas shopping. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised on the restaurant. The waitress was polite and appropriately dressed. The service was not especially fast but that's because all food is cooked to order so is perfectly understandable We had 2 hot chocolates, a veggie burger and a kebab burger (both with chips Both were served with salad (which was a little greasy but was fresh and tasty and the portion size was good. The interior of the restaurant is basically unchanged from when the shop was previously a Wimpy, and is a little tired looking (with some surface rust on chair legs etc. but was impressively cleanly kept. It was very quiet with about 4 other customers in total which is nice from a customer's point of view but a shame for the owners as it is a very good place to go. Highly recommended

Hungry we came across Pappas, the menu serves fish and chips, cooked breakfasts, kebabs, burgers etc. The first noticeable thing is how friendly, welcoming and helpful the staff are, they were very friendly and attentive. The tables were clean. The food came quickly and good sized portions were served. Fully recommended for families as the food is delicious, they cater for kids and we ate 3 cooked meals and 3 bottles of pop for £20! The quality of food far exceeds the price.

Visited with family last Sunday. Most folks probably at Sunday lunch as the shop floor was virtually empty save for one other table. The proprietor couldn't have been more attentive. The fish and chips were on point. Couldn't fault them on the day. The food was cooked as we waited. We ate every last morsel. I'm probably picky but I thought the fish I got a bit dry thus questioned if it was freshly caught that day. I still ate the lot though. Cheap cheerful food.
