Also does B B and although we were not staying if the food is indicative I am sure that standards would be high and value for money. Since Covid Tourists tend to stay in Abergavenny thereby missing a atmospheric slice of Welsh history and culture.
Went for meal. Our normal place was fully booked ended up here! Did look rough around edges. Doesn’t take card, so keeps costs really low! Proper home cooked chips, the best ever battered fish, lovely moist peas, lovely side salad and gorgeous bread and butter. All no frills, but probably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! All for £6.25! Can you believe it!
Had lunch here with father in law who was born there nearly 90 years ago. Food and service excellent really good value and quality pub fayre and very well looked after. This place is well worth a visit and I have no doubt we will be back on or around my father in laws 90th!
Visited on Monday and had five meals and drinks. Very affordable and lovely staff and food. Highly recommended especially for those on a budget.
We called in by chance later on in the afternoon and were not sure if food was still being served. We were greeted by a lovely lady who welcomed us in. We ordered cottage pie with local vegetables. Beautifully presented home cooked food. The taste was amazing. The toffee pudding was gorgeous too. Such lovely people to be around and great service. We would highly recommend the Queen Victoria Inn for service and wonderful food at great prices. You will not be disappointed. Thank you to all at the Inn. We wish you well with your business.
