The food and service are excellent and I am always welcomed with a warm and friendly greeting. The slow food concept shines here with innovative takes on Piedmontese classic. Freshest ingredients and phenomenal presentation of plates. The wine list is incredible and the cocktails are superb. Calling or dropping by to make a reservation is the best. Great vibe, food, wine and staff.
I visited Banco Vini in lunch time just of the main.Menu is really short but interesting.I ordered pigeon which turned out to be sublime.Cooked in point served with souse (sort of demi glace). Nicely presented on the plate. It was hot so I took orange wine which was just desent (good taste however significant lack of body). One more disadvantage was the fact I showed up before opening at 12.15 and wanted to stay till opening time but I felt not to be the most apriciated person even sitting outside.
We went last Thursday with some friends to have an aperitivo. We wanted to offer the wine to our friends reason why I went before their arrival to order and pay the bottle which should have been brought to the table once they had joined us. As we were waiting for them my boy friend and I ordered on top two glasses of the same wine. Once our friends arrived they started serving wine as agreed. When the bill arrived I was expecting to see the food/ coperti and 2 glasses of wine while actually we saw 6 glasses of wine for a total of 42 eur!!! When I mentioned it I’ve been told that on top of the bottle we had been served the equivalent of 6 glasses. First of all it has never been the case and on top it was absolutely not in line with the instructions I hab giviven. At the end this whole wine story cost us 72 eur (42 eur 30 eur for the botle) for some Franciacorta! This place used to be packed and on that day it was half empty. With such dishonesty no wonder why!!!
We were suggested this restaurant after we couldn't get into the Ristorante Consorzio. It was wonderful--a really good local wine list, excellent imaginative starters and main courses and great cheese. All locally inspired. The staff could not have been more helpful--in both English and French. Try it!
