New Castle Pub - Torino

OK, so we wanted a quick and decent meal before we went on the Magical Mystery Tour starting at Piazza Statuto. Not much to chose from, but it was fun to visit the New Castle. Music too loud initially, but that changed. We like pub grub and the Carbonara was OK-ish, but too little meat on the bacon (read too much fat... hmmm... almost only fat). The Newcastle Pasta was a better choice. Healthy servings. Good beer, but then it is a pub !

Whenever I'm in Turin, I love to stop here for a good beer and some late night food. The furniture is typical of a good old fashioned pub, with dark wooden counter and tables. The barman is awesome and brewes his own draft called Turet (served only on thursdays). There is quite a wide selection of Belgian beers and British ales that spans beyond what written on the list (so better ask the barman). The food is nice enough and the portions are large... especially if you are hungry at ungodly hours!

Atmosfera giusta da pub e ambiente facile, al centro ma non troppo, bella serata!

Ci siamo trovati bene, buon cibo e birra. molto gentile e bella cameriera si vola sopra l'oo della maschera e su richiesta di passaggio verde, tuttavia ero già pronto avendo letto le recensioni precedenti.
