My dining partner and I decided to try the Chicken in Black Bean Sauce and Beef with Chinese Broccoli at this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by how tasty both dishes were. We also ordered two servings of rice, but one would have been sufficient. The total cost of our takeout meal was $30, which provided us with enough food for a second meal. This place has the potential to become our new favorite spot!
I visited this restaurant because it was conveniently located near my home. I found the food to be average and the prices reasonable, given the location. While there may be better Chinese food options for the same price, this place is convenient for me. The service was efficient and friendly. Overall, it's a decent dining option in the area.
Good lunch specials. I've been to Ho Jan four or five times with coworkers. There's a lunch special menu for $7.50 with a pretty broad selection, and each dish comes with soup. If you're looking for a Chinese food lunch in this area, I'd recommend it.
Ho Jan good food, large quantities. Every time I eat at Ho Jan, I always feel 'satisfied '. Their menu is extensive! My favourites are the Spicy Deep Fried Bean Curd so crisp on the outside and tender on the inside with mounds of dried chili peppers and garlic galour. My taste buds beg for more.... The lunch special is generous and includes soup for only $5.95 you just can 't beat it for value and quality. I love the Singapore Fried Rice Noodles so much of everything in this one dish: noodles, shrimp, scallops, squid, chicken, beef, oriental mushrooms, veggies it 's a smorgasbord on a plate. Shanghai noodles are supurb. Dry Fried Rice Noodles (the big wide noodles) w/beef bean sprouts is another constant favourite. The servers are friendly and attentative too.
