Bar Centrale - Toronto

Located in Rosedale Summerhill on Yonge, Café Centrale is a cozy local joint on the ground floor beneath Terroni. The café boasts a long, narrow layout with plenty of windows, small banquettes, and a few bar seats. We sampled a breakfast of Yogurt Granola (decent but nothing extraordinary), Avocado Toast (also good), French Toast (very tasty but on the smaller side for the price), and Scrambled Eggs with Tartufo (also solid). Additionally, there are plenty of options for coffee and pastries to go, as many patrons were seen grabbing a quick bite on the run. Overall, the service was friendly and attentive, with our meal arriving promptly. Enjoy your visit!

My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic early dinner at this restaurant. The specialty cocktails were amazing, and so were our main dishes. I ordered the pasta aglio e olio and my husband had the gnocchi. The bread was also very tasty.

The food at this restaurant is excellent, but the owners have strict rules about delivery methods and will only allow cars to deliver, not bikes or scooters. They have also been known to add cheese to dishes even if they believe it is unnecessary, and they do not cut pizzas for customers. Despite my experiences in Italy, where they accommodate customer preferences, this restaurant will not make any changes to dishes. While their food is great, their lack of customer service may be off-putting to some. Overall, I gave them a rating of 3 out of 5 because of their inflexible policies.

Very noisy, hectic, children running around I get it, its a family restaurant). Also rushed service gotta move on to the next family). Go across the street to Sorrel for an authentic, mature dining experience.

We had made reservations as it was Father's Day, and even got a confirmation through OpenTable, but they did not seem to have it when we arrived. Sent us to the outdoor patio but then back inside again and then back to the patio. Two things we tried to order off the menu (french toast and fritatta) were not available and it was only 10 AM. Service was exceptionally slow (had to ask a few times for water and coffee) so overall, was a very disappointing experience, especially for Father's Day. We are certainly not comfortable taking anyone there again.
