The staff at this restaurant was exceptionally friendly, engaging in small talk, exchanging smiles, and sharing laughs. They also provided great recommendations for new customers. I ordered a winter melon milk tea with less sugar, and despite the reduced sugar content, the drink was full of flavor. Unlike other milk tea spots in the area where the pearls are often soggy or undercooked, Boba Boy had perfectly chewy pearls. I would definitely return if I find myself in the area again!
I ordered a hot black tea, but it was served lukewarm. Additionally, there were several fruit flies buzzing around, which deterred me from trying any baked goods. The menu was outdated and lacking pictures, making it difficult to know what you're ordering.
It used to be good when it first opened. Now it's just OK. It's a decent milk tea shop if you happen to be in Riverdale.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! There are better bubble tea in this area. I’ve been ordering from this place for more than a year, and visited weekly. Now I suggest everyone DO NOT order bubble tea from Boba Boy, because they don’t make the beverage as you ordered: for the same order, sometimes you get what you ordered, sometimes way sweeter than it should be or add more than enough ice chips. Their one of cashier girls is very rude and talking behind customers, didn’t make your tea as you ordered.I had read the reply from the owner, so interesting, even the label showed the bubble tea I had ordered. With this kind of owner, no wonder your employees don’t know how to make the proper bubble tea and rude to the customers. Your cashier girl made a big scene of arguing with me when I pointed out her mistake, even she knew I ordered less sugar less ice naigai the mousse, you could check your camera to see which I pointed. You as the owner didn’t step in and walked away from her, I didn’t ask for money or make trouble to you, stop your victim play. I paid the bubble tea I ordered, you could’ve looked up the history. I didn’t even taste the tea at all because “this doesn’t look like what I had ordered”. Better wisely hire someone next time, because your cashier calls white black. To be fair, the other cashier girl was reasonable.
