It's actually a lot of food for a single person to complete (we ordered noodles and it's so heavy, that I could barely move). I've ordered chicken and shrimp chow mein and it's more of Desi Chinese. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
Best thing about Canton Chilli is that it is open late. My friends bring me here after a night of dancing and they always deliver. One of the only Chinese restaurants open late and always has room for large groups. Chilli chicken? Yes please.....
Walk in, get chucked a menu and a pot of tea and get asked 'whatcha ' want? ' after a few mins. These guys don 't mess about. However, the food is a solid option when you just want something to fill you up that tastes good and won 't cost you more than $20. They also have an alcohol licence and stock Tsingtao if that 's your bag (tip: it 's pronounced Ching-tao).
Not the highest quality Chinese food out there, but for what it is a place that a hungry U of T student can get delivery from, and get tasty and filling Chinese for $7 all in, even late at night this place is great. My go to spot when I have no other dinner plans. Favourites include Hunan Pork, Curry Chicken, Spicy Eggplant, General Tao Chicken, and Satay Noodles. Ordering over the phone can be pretty hurried and sometimes difficult (as a white guy, at least), but I'd almost go so far as to say it's endearing.
Solid food lots of spicy choices. Good ginger beef Hakka options and spicy squid (deep fried). Owner and staff are good dudes. Open 4 pm to 4 am.
