It was an average meal and nothing about the food stood out. The hot and sour soup was thick and served immediately. We also ordered some vegetarian dumplings which were rather undercooked. Finally the Cantonese chowmein was oily and not particularly tasty.
Food is ok but not terrific. We were hoping for some traditional chinese food but were disappointed in the food and the presentation of the food. Chicken balls were hard and chewy, lo mein was lacking in veggies and soups were bland.
We ordered a few stir fry dishes to share and it's a nice break from the usual fusion you get in Toronto. It's just simple, yet great tasting chinese food.
We hadn't tried this place before, and we found it to be adequate but nothing more than that. None of the four dishes was out of the ordinary. Delivery was on the slow side. Probably eating in the restaurant would give a better impression of its strengths (and weaknesses.)
There is nothing worse than getting raw, **** chicken wings! But if that wasn't enough, the shanghai noodles were over cooked and the beef with almond and pineapple chicken dishes consisted of 80% onions and the rest peppers. Tasteless! Stay away!
