Dark Horse Espresso - Toronto

I got some ground espresso from here for a gift. They only had whole beans packaged but they can grind to your desired level and reseal the bag so it remains fresh. There is more seating in the back that is hidden, and free WiFi. It's a good place to meet with friends or to work. Spacious, well lit, and the music is not too loud. Baked goods look good but I didn't try them.

Lovely spot. Got a London fog and really enjoyed it. Sat for a while and enjoyed the space. Theo took my order and was lovely.

The loaf was good and the coffee average; however none of that matters after the terrible service. We were waiting for our drinks at the designated pickup spot but found mine at a different place but when I asked for the other drink we ordered, they said they threw it away to the trash because no one had picked it up. Mind you only a few minutes had passed and it was obviously not at the pickup table but behind it. Worse than that the attitude of the barista with the long blonde hair was rude and dismissive and reading other reviews I can see it's not the first time either. Not coming back for this kinda service and the coffee most definitely doesn't make up for it

Love the coffee here and would love to continue supporting a local business, however 0.75 extra for non-dairy milk (it’s 2023 people) and .50 extra for decaf are both nonsensical cash grabs that will prevent me from frequenting this place in the future.

For a coffee shop, it doesn’t make brewed coffee on the spot, instead I was charged $5 for coffee from dispensed from an URN!!!! Like wow! I might as well bring my own thermos coffee!
