Gordo Ex Cafe - Toronto

We were staying at a hotel nearby and did not have a car. As we walked we came across gordos. Waitresses were very friendly. Cute decor. Good food

The food is really good, maybe one of the best Venezuelan places in Toronto. Having said that, the service need to improve. The waiters were nice, they took our order super fast but they were extremely slow to bring the food to our table (i.e. We have to wait more than 30 min for cokes..). We had to ask twice to clean correctly our table and cutlery.Washrooms have to improve too. They don't have soap (I don't know how the employees clean their hands...) I ask twice for soap but they never fix the problem.Maybe they need more personal or better processes, but there is a lot of room to improve.

The menu is very long, typical Venezuelan dishes are large, well prepared. The place is small and unassuming, but very clean. It is more of a cafe than a restaurant. Service is friendly, the food is prepared fresh. There are many dishes to choose from, for every palate. Portions are quite large. Prices are very affordable, and the food is very good value. I only wish that they serve alcohol, especially beer, as the dishes would go phenomenally well with it. I think it is a great place for takeout too. Definitely a repeat.

For the location and quality of the place the food is very expensive the service is the worst that I have seen in this year that I have lived in Canadá, the waiter was very arrogant and undue, the food was too grascious; it is a shame that a Latin restaurant that should overlook our culture do the opposite

They are friendly and the service is very good besides that the arepas are the best I could find in toronto.
