Unfortunately, they no longer hold a candle to the local new comer Hakka Number 1. Food is bland. Service is lousy. Dishes are never the same, on next order. I would just go somewhere where they do it right. It's like Peking Garden just does what they want without care to their customers
Nothing on the menu of the Peking Garden, with the exception of rice and Coca Cola even remotely resembles what is served in today's Beijing. This being stated, my Chinese guests greatly enjoyed their chop suey, kung pao chicken and Shanghai noodles, which closely resembled Pancit Canton, the Filipino take on Chinese food. Open evenings only, to service a steady flow of regular, non-Oriental customers, who ordered from memory, by the number, and who received their food quickly and cooked in a matter of minutes. Fried chicken wings, fried rice, lemon chicken, sesame chicken, General Tso's chicken, egg rolls and, of course, sweet and sour chicken balls were all among the meals taken out by a fascinating array of multinational customers. Food is average, at best, but the experience of stepping into a thriving quasi-Chinese restaurant reminiscent of hundreds like it forty years ago, is worth the trip to Kingston Road. English speaking staff are fabulous, know their clientele and serve up memories for those of us who are hip to the fact that the Peking Garden is as much Chinese as their customers.
Opções saborosas e baratas. Nada absurdo de luxuoso, mas é um lugar que, se estiver por perto, pode confiar em comer pela limpeza e qualidade
I have ordered from this restaurant several times before. They offer both dine-in and take-out options. The food is always prepared quickly.
