Potbelly Sandwich Shop - Toronto

Cleanliness of the dining room was not great, but at least the sandwiches were toasted and pretty tasty.

Slightly classier with higher but a more limited menu in comparison to its ubiquitous competitor. Side potato salad was great and sandwich was satisfying. Lots of seating and fun decor.

Here's a place to get a sandwich when you want better than fast food, but not too fancy. Made to order sandwiches, toasted, that works most of the time. The interior is drab, but we took out and had a picnic with a bottle of wine and that hit the spot.

It is a sandwich shop- that's it. Don't expect anything more. The sandwiches are excellent, though.We went in for breakfast sandwich and were surprised to see hardly any traffic. The service desk told us that they are more busy for lunch.Very helpful staff; great sandwiches at good prices.Stop by for a quick sandwich . Nice.

The kids and I were heading to the ROM for the day and planned an early lunch. We were thrilled to see that Potbelly's has opened across the street! At first we weren't sure if it was the same chain as in Chicago, but a closer looked confirmed what we were hoping and we quickly opted to change our plans and eat here.My son had his usual, the pizza sub, daughter had the meatball sub and I had my favourite, the wreck. Perfect - the bread is the same, the toppings the same, service was good, though a little slow on the sandwich making piece - likely getting used to how it all works as it was only open a few weeks. The only difference was they had someone with a tablet taking orders instead of you ordering at the counter. If there was a line that might have helped move things along, but there wasn't so the kids thought it was less fun than if they ordered at the counter. Cookies, drinks, all of that is the same. The chip selection is local and doesn't have the same brands as in Chicago, but that's a small detail we were fine to overlook. If this isn't somewhere you have been before, go! You should know there is no combo pricing for meals. Everything is separate. I am so happy that this chain has crossed the border into Canada. Much shorter drive than going to Chicago for a sandwich.
