Simply one of the best restaurants in Toronto. The food and cocktails are delicious. The service is fantastic. There's always something new to try whenever we come back (especially if you're getting the chef's tasting menu). It was one of the first fine dining establishments we visited, and one that I'm always happy to come back to many years later. Definitely worth the price of admission if you like good food!
What an experience it is to sit at the Chef's Table of Richmond Station. The food is beautiful, every bite a surprise. Crispy chicken fried mushrooms with a yuzu gastrique, duck confit lettuce leaf, potato agnolotti, all perfect dishes from beginning to end, greatly balanced with punchy flavors. The star was the silky smooth Arctic char and this incredibly smoky beurre blanc. Absolutely fabulous. Not to forget, the desserts. The caramel, hazelnut praliné and meringue tartlet is a delight, like biting in the best chocolate bonbon and going back for more again and again. Cocktails are inventive, and the selection of Canadian wines by the glass pairs wonderfully with the menu. And of course, the kitchen. It is a real treat to be able to watch the chefs' confident, calm ballet as they fire dish after dish, or the precision as the pastry chef plates tartlets, pudding, and pastries. The serving staff is friendly and helpful, rounding the experience to one of the best dinners in a while.
