Very nice atmosphere, great buffet with a very good selection of haupt- and desserts buffet.
That this long-term veggie dining is no longer. it now shows a banner that tells diners to go over the street to his sister restaurant, in the possession of the same guy, gautama (not-veg.) I am finished. the end.
Yesterday we had so much time in this restaurant with my man who was released from the hospital after his cancer treatment only a few hours. he is still very weak, so we so much appreciated as a young nice young, the waiter, noticed...our even before we entered and came to welcome us and help my man come in. all the time we sit comfortably, he was looking for us and helped us. to be honest, I am not a big fan of Indian cuisine and came there for my man. and was really pleasantly surprised when the taste of the 3 dishes and flat brote was found very good! we ordered aloo ghobi, makhai paneer and auberginen sabj, butter roti and butter naan. we all enjoyed. all were fresh for us. spices are in harmonie for every dish. sweet were not overcooked as in any other Indian restaurant in toronto and mississauga. and another surprise was her coffee. it was delicious! Unlike other promotional spots, as I call it, we can have coffee all over the place. it remined me my favorite Turkish style coffee. also I can add that the restaurant is clean and tidy. I liked the color combination in its design: dark orange/brick) cherry/powder gold. very inspired by Indian royal colors. very nice! I was just sitting on how many people who just walked away stared into the big windows of the restaurant. the prices are overall good, absolutely fair, I would say. we had no feeling that we paid more than it was worth. what is not so common. I have heard that the restaurant is in front of a brandy life. there is the second restaurant that I know what great food and service provoked and was burned, of course, therefore.
Sidhartha has not yet reopened its main restaurant after their kitchen fire, *but a few eeeks ago it did reopen its sister vegetarian branch. Its located on the same south side of Gerrard as years ago, but now further east towards Coxwell by about 100...metres. We ate there today and it was great. Friendly service plus clean fresh food. Try their Mongolian item--worth going for seconds. Note to the self-involved young Quebecois gentleman who brought his visiting parents to the restaurant and also carried on numerous loud cell phone conversations: please show some class next time and take yer calls outside. Oh, and your landlord is well within their rights to keep that cheque you gave them.
