Great sandwich. Been meaning to go there for a long time and glad I did. Standing room only but the sandwich is a treat.
TLP is close to my workplace, and I go whenever I want a wicked lunch :) Their sandwiches are freshly made on the spot, reasonably priced for what you get (hearty, solid ingredients,) and the staff are nice as well as efficient. There are sandwiches for any craving. They also have butter tarts, chips, and a great bottled drink selection (root bear, fruit juices, etc.)
I absolutely love this sandwich and try to get it whenever I am in the area. The shop is small, and off to the side on Elm Street, but owned by Barbarian's (steak house fame.) Not only is the sandwich amazing, but even the bread it is on is amazing. The Calamar sandwich is so great I have not bothered to try anything else. I can well imagine any sandwich would be great based on the line ups.
If you're looking for a burger that will tide you over for two days, you can't go wrong with the Harrison. Fresh, tender ground steak burger on a soft roll with aioli and red peppers and lettuce and the VERY BEST PART, a slab of panko-crusted deep fried cheddar cheese.I just lose my mind over this thing. I have to limit myself to one every few months or I won't fit through the door (and I'm certain they don't deliver.) It's definitely on the high end of the price range for sandwiches, but it's worth every penny. Also try the beefsteak-style fries. They're always hot and crispy and freshly made, and help to extend your tided-overness to about three days. The staff are awesome and friendly. I think they still let you draw pigs on the walls?
