Bomboras - Torquay

Top spot for a top view of surf, surfers included, and a nice cup of coffee. Service was excellent especially in consideration of how busy the place was. Obviously a very popular place and although we did not have anything to eat, the food that was coming out looked pretty good.

This place is great if you want to spend $40 for two drinks and a bowl with six wedges in it. Very disappointed.

We very seldom end an excursion to Torquay without dropping in to Bomboras for a quick coffee, a snack or a meal. Located right opposite the foreshore, it affords a wonderful water view, either from the front, patio or from within. We usually take the easy chairs at the front where dogs are well-catered for. The staff are all cheerful and obliging and the coffee is second only to the fries. I'm not usually a big fan of fries, but here I make an exception.

Wow, the boys have really set this up well, check it out for sure.Owned by brothers and a Torquay long time business this place has a new location and new look. We had drinks for happy hour and were so impressed, we stayed for dinner.Open fire, great stuff, great food and good grog…. What more could you ask for.As a Torquay local, highly recommend this place.P.S. they are opening a second restaurant, Vietnamese, next door. Going off boys.

We stopped in after a bike ride along the shore and had dinner here. The staff were so kind and helpful, couldn't do enough for you. Showed us the warmest place to sit, got water for our puffed out dog and closed the (see-through so the view was still there) blinds to keep the chilly wind out-all without being asked. The food was really, really good to top our visit off. We will be regulars! Thank you.
