The food was very good and in portions that were just the right size. It was nice to be able get reasonably priced draft beer as an alternative to expensive bottled beer and, wine by the glass. Based on our experience we shall certainly return and we can see why this place was so popular on a bleak mid-week night.
This restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and is located next to the campsite and other shops. It reminds me of Brunswick Street! It's away from the main Esplanade so parking is easy to find. The food was good, but not fantastic. The nachos had an odd cheese sauce that didn't taste like cheese and was too thin, making the chips soggy. The beef burrito was a little dry. However, the side sauce had a delicious hint of chili and the homemade hot sauce was excellent! Extra points go to the friendly staff and live music. It's great to support local talent!
Wow what a great find ! if you love Mexican then this place is certainly worth visiting, very impressed with the quality of the food, not a large selection on the menu but what is there is beautifully cooked with great flavors. Good selection of beers including a couple from Mexico, reasonably priced, great atmosphere and very helpful and friendly staff ....... we’ll absolutely go back !!!
Safe to say our special night at Alisito’s was a memorable one. Faced with the tough, yet necessary decision of ordering our main meals, my girlfriend and I (upon reflecting on the experience) were thrilled with the available options, especially the ‘Nachos (GF, V)’ additional Guacamole (totaling a mere $20). As pictured below, the nachos made heads turn, mouths dribble, and most importantly stomachs churn. Ask yourself, what do you get when 2 people with chronic diarrhoea have 1 toilet in their home? Splitting the toilet down the middle isn’t as easy as it seems. After clashing rear ends and exchanging loose and watery stools, we both agreed that while the ceramic dish of slop granted our bungholes forceful power, overall it was a very pleasant dining experience, with great service and friendly staff. Give Alisito’s a shot for yourself and enjoy a pleasurable but unforgiving experience!
I recently had the best Mexican food of my life (outside of Mexico) at this restaurant. The service was exceptional and the staff were fantastic.
