I ordered their chinchikurinyaki (with soft noodle) and my husband ordered their classic (with crispy noodle). Each of the dishes were made to order and you can watch your meal being made pretty much no matter where you sit in the restaurant. The food came out hot and tasty. The dish left us full and satiated. They also offered additional packets of okonomiyaki sauce and kewpie mayo, if we felt that we needed more than what was already there. It definitely reminded us of the okonomiyaki we've had when we had visited Hiroshima. Parking is free and shared with other restaurants and shops in the plaza. They also accept credit card.
My wife and I hadn't tried Okonomiyaki before. This place was GREAT! She had the Chinchikurinyaki and I had the B&C. A great mix of savory, sweet, and umami flavors. The service was great and we tried the White Peach Highball and that was a treat as well! Will definitely be back!
A Japanese restaurant based in Torrance that serves okonomiyaki, a popular street food in Osaka that is like a grilled noodle pancake. The menu has many flavors to choose from, and the options are somewhat customizable because they are made to order on the giant grill in the restaurant. I chose the cheese and basil okonomiyaki with crispy noodle, it was pretty delicious. The cheese melted on the crispy noodle perfectly with plenty of flavors. We watched the chef make the okonomiyaki, which was pretty cool. The restaurant itself is pretty large, it is in the same plaza as 85 degree bakery and daiso. But other than that, there is really nothing too special about the restaurant itself. Great place to have a quick and unique lunch, would recommend for Torrance.
We had a fantastic dining experience with a wide variety of okonomiyaki to choose from. I went with my wife and kids, and we decided to share two dishes along with a side of fried chicken cartilage. Everything was beautifully prepared, and the kids absolutely loved the food. The noodles had a delightful crispiness, and the sauce was spot on. We experimented with adding Kewpie mayo and soy sauce, but it turned out a bit too salty for our liking, so we chose to enjoy it plain instead. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but the portions are generous and satisfying.
This restaurant was absolutely amazing! I've always wanted to try okonomiyaki but couldn't find a place since I don't eat meat. Luckily, this restaurant offers a vegan version. For those who only speak English, there's always a manager (and usually a couple of others) who speak English, so you can still enjoy your meal here. I highly recommend it—it's one of the best places I've ever dined at! I'm so glad I went!
