Habana Vieja Cuban Cuisine - Torrance

I tried this place for the first time and had a great experience. The music, decor, and food were all enjoyable. Personally, I think the portions could have been a bit larger, but I did go for lunch as my first meal of the day.

Our favorite Cuban restaurant in the area! The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and there's plenty of seating for large groups. We always order the lechon asado, and it’s incredible!

I visited there for Sunday brunch in April of this year, and the food was incredible!

The Cubano sandwiches were delicious, and the bread bean dip was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place!

However, I was disappointed by the lack of flavor and spices in the dishes. The pulled beef was bland, and the half chicken had no taste at all—no smoky flavor from the grill or anything. Latin food is typically bursting with flavor, but that wasn't the case here. The maduros were the only dish I truly enjoyed. If you're unsure what to order, I recommend the Ropa Vieja; it's not perfect or as flavorful as it should be, but it's decent. I wouldn't return unless they improve the seasoning and spice in their food to better reflect authentic Latin flavors.
