There were definitely a ton of yummy and unique food and drink offerings spanning all types of cuisines (most were cash only but they did have atms on site). There were your usual carnival games and music as well, though we just focused on the food. All in all, a very nice local family friendly event, hopefully one that comes back!
Some tips that made my night market experience better: 1) Park across the street from the AMC on the LA Fitness side and walk over as parking does get congested. 2) If you hate crowds and lines, go on a Sunday night which seems to be much sparser. 3) Bring cash for entry and for some vendors. Vendors were mostly Chinese BBQ to Mexican treats. Nothing much in-between. If you're a local, this is a cute little night market but don't expect 626night market variety in the slightest. I had the BBQ squid and a waffle puff dessert. Enjoyed both! I'd say take a walk around the market first before letting your stomach decide what it is craving. Thank you very much to the Yelp LA West team for the tickets. Very appreciated. Had a great time!
Thank you Yelp Elite and Panama Night Market for the complimentary tickets! So nice to have a night market so close to home in the Southbay! Went on a Friday night around 7:30pm. Parking was full and it took a while to find a spot as market is located in the parking area across PF Chang's and Lazy Dog Cafe at Del Amo Shopping Center. Along with the food vendors, they had carnival games; entertainment; and vendors selling merchandise. Some of the items we tried: Bully 24 inch chicken stick honey butter flavor with whipped cream) $9; Bully lightbulb rainbow slushee with a free lighted lightbulb keychain $8; Yakitori Yado's Chicken and mochi sticks 2 for $8); Lightbulb drink free refills) plastic bulb lights up $10; Deep fried mozzarella cheese stick $5; Modern Char Shortrib Baos $11); fatty pork Baos $11) and Thai Tea mochi ice cream sticks free if you order 2 items). Everything was good except for the Modern Char Fatty Pork Bao which one of two tasted like a piece of charred fat. In addition none of us liked the Thai Tea mochi ice creams, so unfortunately we ended up throwing those away. All in all it was a fun night. Great atmosphere!
Got invited to go from my good friend and fellow Yelper @Adria L. (check her our and follow her she's amazing! She won tickets from yelp and we arrived around 7:30 pm on Saturday night. Alright first off parking was crazy not only was it pitch dark in a secluded area. The parking lot was full and there was no parking at all! It took about 15 minutes to find a spot. Overall the night market was fun but very small there were many general vendors selling various items such as clothing, cellphone accessories, stickers, and children's toys. The big reason why we did a 45 minute drive all the way to LA was of course the food! They had some amazing street food like chicken and waffles, BBQ ribs, chicken skewers, and lots of desserts to try. We had the BBQ pork nachos from Smokehouse, drinks from Bearology , we tried the D-Cake which was a Nutella stuffed waffle topped with condensed milk. We were stuffed by the end of the night. Overall, 4/5 stars! Thank you @Adria L. (Again go follow her she is hands down amazing! for inviting me to this event and a huge thank you yelp! Can't wait to go again!
Right next to the Del Amo Fashion mall, couldn't miss it. Parking wasn't bad since there were a few structure by the mall and it was walking distance to the night market. Many had said it's a smaller version of 626 Night Market, and they were right. Got there right when it opened, checked in and in I went. It took maybe 10 mins to walk around the whole market. There were a lot of locals with Korean, Filipino, Mexican, Chinese, Vietnam fusion and American (Nashville chicken sandwiches non local). Lines to the food booths weren't long and people were friendly. Some were offering samples before purchase and some were offering free drink floaties after purchase. That made my day! Overall, if you're by the mall, should check it out. Family friendly and also there's chairs to watch live performance from the locals. Entry fee $5 per person, certain age kids I believe can get in for free.
