Balu Beach - Torremolinos

I love nothing better than walking down Paseo Maritimo De La Carihuela ,one of my favourite chiringuito's is Balu Beach. A great looking chiringuito ,a lovely interior ,a great looking serving bar and lots of seating options both inside and outside looking out onto the beautiful beach and the Mediterranean Sea beyond. We sat outside were we ordered and were served bottles of Mahou green beer ,these were served in pristine condition being iced cold and sparkling ,we chilled out and took in the great chiringuito we were in . I love this beer ,perfect for the hot climate out here along the Costa Del Sol ,it's such a light and hoppy beer that when it's served freezing cold as in this chiringuito is such a delicious and refreshing beer indeed,it was just so good being in such a great chiringuito enjoying a great beer and sat with my twin brother Stephen,best beer companion in the world. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Balu Beach is easy to locate along Lugar Playa De La Carihuela . Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

After swimming from the beach Playa De La Carihuela my twin brother Stephen and I decided to drop into Balu Beach ,a great beach bar chiringuito we always look forward to visiting on any holiday to this sun drenched resort we take. I love the look of this chiringuito ,the interior is light and airy ,room dominated by a great looking serving bar ,superb decor and furnishings and lots of seating both inside and outside looking out and over to the beautiful beach. We sat in as all outside seats were occupied which was hardly surprising as temperatures were in the 90's ,August weather was awesome,we ordered and were served bottles of San Miguel beer which were served in pristine condition ,we chilled out and supped our beers while planning out the day ahead in this sun drenched resort. A big fan of this beer ,it's such a light and hoppy ,unpretentious lager style beer perfect for the hot climate out here ,on a hot afternoon and when served freezing cold as in this beach bar is such a refreshing beer indeed. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Balu Beach is easy to locate along Playa De La Carihuela and is well worth checking out if you're in the La Carihuela district .

We passed by this chiringuito every day on our way to the beach and as it looked quite cosy and traditional from outside we decided to give it a go. When we arrived it was already a bit late for lunch so it was not so busy as a couple of hours earlier. We were expecting to taste some typical Malagan food but the truth is that we were quite disappointed: the food took ages to be served, it was very oily, dishes were brought on to our table randomly so we could not really have lunch together. My little son who was very hungry was the last to be served...as a thumb rule I would have expected children to be dealt with first. As I observed, our table was not the only one disappointed about the service. I would like to think that they had a stressful day and that service is usually more efficient but definitely this day wasn`t their day!

Beach bar in lovely location for people watching? Waiter a bit miserable and could do with learning how to smile or treat customers better, the ladies serving behind the bar where full of energy, smiles and happy to see you which made it more pleasant atmosphere. Reasonably priced drinks
