We have eaten at the Chinese Ciudad Sur a few times. It is located on Calle Salvador Allende opposite the hotels Sol House formerly Sol Aloha) and Sol Timor. Looking for the first time at their menu posted outside we could not believe that a 3 course meal option could still exist in a restaurant for under 5 euros this must be a mistake? an old menu? but decided it was worth a gamble. Ascending a short staircase and stone cold sober we beat a hasty retreat after realising we were heading into the indian restaurant next door.... Ciudad Sur offers menus at various prices. We opted for under 5 euros each and selected from its choices hot and sour soup, beef accompanied by plain or fried rice, ice cream and a pot of tea. We started our meal with some trepidation what, only 5 euros? but devoured every morsel. Even immaculate cloth tablecloths, and the main course and rice were put on a warming stand. It was beyond our expectations and we have returned more than once. On one occasion we brought friends for lunch and everyone received a postprandial shot of liquor; mine did not have a picture at the bottom.... They appear to do takeaways as well as once we noticed people arriving to collect their orders.
Looks a bit dingy from the outside but we went in as opposite our hotel. Ordered 4 cold drinks in total 2 x 7.95 set menu that’s 2 huge spring rolls ,fried rice , chicken noodles, chips and 2 meat mains which came to 25 euro . Going again today as it was so yummy
We popped in here on the way to the supermarket,as we were craving Chinese. a great decision. We paid under 5 euros for a 3 course meal with prawn crackers.food arrived hot and tasty and I couldn't believe the portion size? We had to take half of it boxed up back for later. The service was friendly, even a boiling flannel and sweeties at the end of our meal. We are going back to the same hotel next year, and we will definitely be going here more than once. Well done. Keep up the good work.
Came to Spain for the first time for my 60th birthday. Only found this on our last night, if I'd found it earlier we'd have been every day. The service was good, price was reasonable and the food was out of this world. The Beef in Black Bean sauce I had was awesome, the beef was so tender and tasty and the egg fried rice was superb. If I wasn't flying home tomorrow I'd be here every night.
