Subway - TORRENS PARK

Subway is my way of getting that last minute dinner on the table and it's healthy to a certain point.

If you feel like a Sub Way meal or snack in Mitcham this place is OK. Nothing special nor bad. You may have a wait at busy times. It is popular with kids after leaving school.

A quick and simple luncheon where you choose what goes into your roll. I like how they just put on what you want quickly and with ease.

Where does one start...mmm.OK...prepared to waste $10, I scooted down to my local Subway. Impossible parking in a small shopping complex at lunchtime made life interesting as one battled the 4WD's parked by stupid Unley brides.One enters a ''çhain'' restaurant and expects to see the same stuff...no disappointment here. Clean, airy and clinical. They take your money quicker than a Doctor.The sandwich build happens before your eyes. Your $10 disappears in a blink.So, I get a Turkey/Ham thingy. I get the ''foot long'' roll...ordering 6 inches of roll seems inadequate. The dude behind the counter then assembles said sandwich/roll.He wears the Subway cap and apron. Surgical glove are donned prior to commencement of assembly. Not sure if this to protect the employee from the chemicals which the ingredients swim in, or satisfy OHWS. The restaurant is wash in a strange odour that beckons you to eat the chair. Mmm...same stuff at Macca's and KFC. Anyway, I digress.My footlong roll gets filled...NO butter.The roll gets rapidly filled with stuff peeled off plastic and all condiments swimming in that chemical brew. I had lettuce, tomato, carrot, onion and cucumber. The beetroot was 50 cents extra, so I gave that the boot. A spurt of sauce and I was done!All done in a minute.Now...the taste test. All you get is the highly acidic and sweet sauce. The fillings lose composure amidst this regime. It gets scoffed. Supposedly healthy, I crave another one as soon as I am finished...now, why would that be...?

Olivia is my favorite sandwich artist at Subway. She is a lovely young girl who is very considerate and really enhances the overall dining experience. I have never had any issues with any of the artists there, but Olivia stands out to me. Unlike other stores where the ingredients tend to fall out of the sub, they assemble it with such care at this location!
